Mission Shakti Campaign Raises Awareness Among Girls and Women in Gangoh
Gangoh police’s Anti-Romeo and Mission Shakti team conducted an awareness drive at HR Inter College, informing girls and women about safety, rights, helplines, welfare schemes and cybercrime.
During the campaign, the police team provided women and girls with information about several schemes related to women and child welfare. These included widow pension and the Chief Minister’s Sumangala Yojana. Eligible beneficiaries were encouraged to avail themselves of the benefits available under these schemes.
The team also raised awareness about child rights and urged people not to engage children in child labour. Students and women were informed about ways to protect themselves from cybercrimes. They were advised not to share OTPs or bank-related information with unknown persons and were told to immediately report any incident of cyber fraud.
During the campaign, the police team also asked women and girls about their problems and encouraged them to seek police assistance in case of any safety-related concern.
The police team said the Mission Shakti campaign aims to make women and girls aware of their rights and safety. The campaign is intended to help create a safe environment for women and girls while encouraging them towards self-reliance.
